KS1 & KS2 writing · teacher assessment framework

Evidence tagged on the page, not on a transcript.

Upload scans of pupil writing, AI scans the document and draws a box on the handwriting itself and tags it against the "pupil can" statements. The system counts what you have tagged across the portfolio. It never awards a standard — that judgement is yours, typed in your own words.

The image stays the artifact

Tags anchor to percentage coordinates on the scan, so handwriting stays inspectable and nothing is "cleaned up" before it is marked. Any transcription is a search aid, flagged low-trust, and never the surface being assessed.

Four polarities, not a tick box

Shows, partial, not shown, contradicts. The framework cares about the consistent absence of error as much as the presence of a skill, and a checkbox cannot carry "shown, but inconsistently".

Coverage informs, it does not decide

AI can propose candidate statements from a scan; every one needs your approval before it becomes evidence. The standard is recorded separately, with a written rationale the database will not let you skip.
